In July 2001, I visited San Gimignano, a small medieval town in Tuscany Italy. Italia. We drove there and as the road approaches the town, the huge towers start impressing you from far away. It is a small walled medieval hill town.
I climbed the tower houses. The tickets were very expensive and physically takes a lot of effort. But I got up there and took photos. I visited the Palazzo Comunale and took pictures with the 16th century frescos.
Needless to say San Gimignano is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great place to be transported to another time and century.
